FreeGeoTagger processes photos locally in your browser. Your images are not uploaded to our server when you add or read GPS metadata — all EXIF processing runs on your own device.

Map and location search features may contact third-party map providers such as OpenStreetMap and Nominatim to display tiles and resolve addresses, but your photo files stay on your device and are never transmitted.

We do not require accounts and do not collect personal information to use the geotagging or GPS Finder tools. Minimal browser storage may be used for preferences such as light or dark theme.

If advertising is displayed, Google AdSense and its partners may use cookies or similar technologies to serve, measure, personalize, and limit ads. You can manage ad personalization through Google's Ads Settings.
